1. Why is this Lenovo Ideapad 5 Series 2 Processor different than other processors?

This processor is Intel’s Arrow lake series of processors which got released early this year (2025). The processor consists of 12 cores in total, out of which two are performance cores, eight efficient cores, and two low power cores. The efficient cores can run up to 3.8 GHz, and the performance scores boost up to 4.8.

2. Is this laptop’s RAM and SSD upgradable?

Due to its 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM which is soldered you don’t have any option to expand it. However like most laptops you can upgrade its 512 GB of M.2 SSD storage. You can upgrade that to a terabyte for an additional 40 at the time of ordering.
